1905 Kodak No.1A Folding Pocket Model B
This is a beautiful working example of the twin finder model of the No 1A Folding Pocket Kodak, which was only manufactured from 1905 to 1906. Serial numbers ran from 57001 to 78099 between June 1905 and Sept 1906, so this example with serial number 63463 is likely to date to late 1905. It takes 2 ½×4 ¼ " exposures on 116 film and we have adapted it to take 6 panoramic-format photographs with a size of 4 ¼ x 2 ¼" on 120 film using plastic spacers to accommodate for the shorter spool width of 120 film. The lens is a Kodak f11, achromatic meniscus with a fixed focus of 5". The iris diaphragm aperture numbers 1 through 3 equate to f11, f16 and f22. The "I" setting provides a single shutter speed of approximately 1/25s. The 1905 price was $25.
