Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah
Bryce Canyon National Park is located in southwestern Utah. It was not formed from erosion initiated from a central stream or river, therfore it is technically not a canyon. Instead erosion from water run-off has excavated large amphitheater-shaped features in the rocks. This erosion coupled with wind and freezing has exposed delicate and colorful pinnacles called hoodoos, some that are up to 200 feet high.
